Rough Country 2.5" lift install complete!

Last weekend some friends and I installed my Rough Country 2.5" lift. I already have the JKS 1.25 BBL and MML. The install went pretty smoothly except for one rusted shock bolt on the front passenger side. Thanks to the sawzal, it came off pretty quickly! The rear was a lot easier than the front. I got the track bar relocator to keep my rear axle centered. My front seems to be almost centered, so I'm gonna hold off on an adjustable track bar for now. The ride is about the same as before but I definitely notice that my calf hits the body when getting in as opposed to before. I have pics in my gallery if anyone wants to check it out!

I just ordered my RC 2.5" suspension lift with a steering stabilzer and rear trackbar relocation bracket. Thought since I was gonna be under there, that installing 2.5-6" JKS quicker discos would be a good idea as well! Hoping to get them done by the end of the month. Then onto the next big purchase(s)...diff guards, Rokmen TT and then maybe Mercenary Rocker sliders...we'll see!

I spent 7 hours installing my JKS 1.25" BBL and 1" BMML on Saturday. I expected it to take about 3 or 4 hours max...breaking a socket put in an hour at the local auto shop along with the purchase of some PB Blaster. I also did this by myself in the driveway. It took about 2 hours to realize that the receiving brackets to the bolt screwed into for the body mount by the rear shocks was a floating bracket was my breakthrough...ugh. Motor mounts went on pretty well, they only took an hour. It was a gratifying experience, but not one I would do with a friends dinner date in Newport (2 hours away) that night. My girlfriend and I made it there at 8:02pm... Good stuff though!

On another note, I also created a lift system for me LJ hard top in my garage with (2) 2x6x6 and (2) 2x4x6 boards, some eye hooks and ratchet straps! Came out awesome! I built, installed and lifted my hardtop by myself on Friday afternoon in an hour and a half! See pics in my gallery if you're interested!

I am so psyched! I went to Autozone today and got anti-sieze and thread lock in anticipation of my JKS BBL and BMML! I also bought an adjustable click torque wrench and a 2 ton floor jack that was on sale for $30 (which I thought was pretty good) Now I just need to get my stuff and put 'em under. I also need to get some 2x4's eye hooks and ratchet straps to lift my hard top up into my garage's rafters over my jeep. Also the landlords permission, but I don't see that being a problem, all the rafters are exposed and he has spare lumber across them already.

I have decided that I am going to bite the bullet and buy a body lift for a little more articulation clearance as I cannot afford a suspension lift of any sort at this point so far! I have spent a good amount of time looking around the Rokmen website after seeing many pleased comments on their products! I hope all goes well! Hopefully I'll get a few buddies to help me so it goes quicker for install!
