Ahhhh I finally ripped out all of my carpet! Didnt realize the inside was gonna be so YELLOW! I am loving it so far because I can take my water hose and spray it out (as long as I take the plugs out of course). My fiance is thinking about buying this liner from O'Rielley's and putting it in it for me. The only thing I am not sure about is whether or not I am going to like the liner. I mean, is it worth spending money on another liner when really the painted metal works just fine? And I wonder how hard it is going to be to keep the Jeep cool now. Hmmm the never ending pondering... Oh what fun!

Ooooh, I misread. I thought you were talking about the drop-in rubber floor liner. Doh. Yeah, you'll like the rubberized coating. It's nice and tough. However, I still recommend going with a professional Line-X job. It has a lifetime warranty, so if it ever needs repair they will fix it. To keep costs down (and make your fiance happy) you guys can prep it on your own by removing everything from the tub and roughing up the paint. You can find more details in numerous writeups on JF.

Only drawback to the rubber liner is that if moisture gets under there it's trapped because the rubber doesn't breathe. You're creating the perfect environment for corrosion to begin. I say put the same money you'd be using on the floor liner into getting the Jeep a professional Line-X job.

its worth it just get it when you need it if the paint is holding up, then hold out.

when i took my carpet out there was a difference in interior noise and temperature wise also. i had mine line x'd its so worth the price. if you do end up getting it sprayed, get it sprayed with the plugs in place. i wish i would have. no i have 13 sink drain plugs...lol
