Another few hours in the garage. I accomplished oil changes on the Jeep and the
POS Brown car. (I'm trying really hard not to call it 'my wife's car'. She
doesn't want it either. It's one of those nissan things though, so it just
won't die. You just have to buy another vehicle and then sell it. (which is
how we got rid of the other nissan and got a jeep). I digress, several hours
and only two oil changes because I was cleaning up from the leaf sprint work
several weeks ago. I'm like that, I leave stuff laying around and eventually
get back to it. I'm fine with it. Actually not, it bugs the crap out of me,
but it's what happens, so I tell myself I'm fine with it.
Anyway, so tomorrow continues the preparations for the York trip next weekend.
I have to get my hitch back on or I won't have my recover point for the obstacle
course. I had removed the plastic fender well cover things to see what was in
there. Fortunately all that was back there is nice clean metal and factory
paint. I've got to put those back in. I'm going to try to stop a leak out of
the rear diff cover. I think that leak started when I was trying to get through
a spot in my parent's stream. Really muddy and I drug a few things through the
dirt getting into and out of there. Will probably replace the muffler and will
try to replace the two body mount bushings that are kaput.
If I can get the kids out there tomorrow, maybe the Jeep will get cleaned up a
bit too. The younger one was trying to get me to take a stock 95 YJ to a car
cruise last night. She is really proud of our Jeep. I'm glad, hopefully she'll
never have to drive anything else. |

Hey georgem, I remembered your
blog when I saw this Metro Molded Pad
Seals at that site. How are
the leaks on your jeep? Well,
perhaps, you've already managed to
solve it. |
