But I'm looking here to see if anyone has any pictures of Rockstar Rims or
Monster Rims on their Jeep, or pictures of a Navy Blue jeep with Rims, lift,
whatever! just to see what it would look like!
PART 1
Have decided to start with a few small and low cost things...recovery and tail
light guards. Have also decided to get a few books to help along the way as I
lift the jeep a few inches.
Just received some of my recovery equipment...got a bag to keep it all in, a tow
strap, four 7 Ton shackles, and an E-Tool. I have also received the 1st of 3
books I have ordered, and am still waiting shipment of my clinometer, the other
2 books, and my rock guards for the tail lights.
PART 2
OK, I got the books, Clinometer, and I have recently purchased an OR-FAB front
winch bumper. I am currently working on doing the install of the bumper on my XJ
and will be doing the write up on the Car Domain website were I have more Pics
of my Jeep posted. 2 of the 3 books are great. The Clinometer went in kinda
simple, they say no drilling required, but I chose to set 2 screws to keep in on
my dash securely since the tape they supplied was not holding very well. I will
keep you posted on the bumper install.
PART 3
OK, so now I have the bumper on the Jeep and am working on doing a write up for
the build and install of that bumper. The write up and more pics can be found
at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3228716
PART 4 (06/17/2009)
I have just added some driving lights to the front and look forward to some
wheel'n this weekend.
I have a 01 wrangler and am just about to start pulling the motor out and tear
down for the stroker but im trying to find where to get the spacer for the
harmonic balancer because im not trying to make my own or have the 4.2l crank
ground down if any ones knows that would be a great help than
I'm gonna try and organize a wheelin trip with as many jeeps as we can get! I'm
outa Greenville S.C. I'm willing to go to GA, NC, TN,! Let's just do it! there
are alot of great rides on here from mild to insaine! Hit me up if anyone is
interested! make a suggestion on a location and possible camping spots. I'm
thinkin a fall run which is pretty much upon us!
My husband took delivery yesterday of
our 2008 JK Rubicon in Detonator Yellow, and I think I was (almost) as excited
as he was! I'm gonna miss his old 'wife', his 1966 Ford Bronco---we've had it
for 15 years and she was a valued member of our family. I have GOT to take some
pictures tonight and get them posted here---the new 'wife' is just too damn
awesome. Even my stoic, staid father in law called it "SHARP". There are very
few around town like this one, but they are in black, rescue green, and I saw an
"X" this morning in burgundy--ALL great, but I have to say I've only seen one
other in our color--with the four doors (and YES, we love having a 4
door---husband has owned plenty of CJ's with two doors, and we LOVE that extra
space!). Too bad we're not closer out west, as where we are now there's not any
good rock climbing, but have already found a local roading chapter--gotta make
contact!
