My XJ upgrades (Project Beast)

PART 1
Have decided to start with a few small and low cost things...recovery and tail light guards. Have also decided to get a few books to help along the way as I lift the jeep a few inches.

Just received some of my recovery equipment...got a bag to keep it all in, a tow strap, four 7 Ton shackles, and an E-Tool. I have also received the 1st of 3 books I have ordered, and am still waiting shipment of my clinometer, the other 2 books, and my rock guards for the tail lights.

PART 2
OK, I got the books, Clinometer, and I have recently purchased an OR-FAB front winch bumper. I am currently working on doing the install of the bumper on my XJ and will be doing the write up on the Car Domain website were I have more Pics of my Jeep posted. 2 of the 3 books are great. The Clinometer went in kinda simple, they say no drilling required, but I chose to set 2 screws to keep in on my dash securely since the tape they supplied was not holding very well. I will keep you posted on the bumper install.

PART 3
OK, so now I have the bumper on the Jeep and am working on doing a write up for the build and install of that bumper. The write up and more pics can be found at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3228716

PART 4 (06/17/2009)
I have just added some driving lights to the front and look forward to some wheel'n this weekend.

So, this is my first post for my 2004 TJ Build. I bought the Jeep 2 months ago, and now I want to map out the plan for the build. It will take some time to get my Jeep to what I wanted it to be, because I am also working on my bike, and photography equipment for my business cost an arm and a leg

Here's an image of my TJ after I bought it. This basically how it looked. This is the beginning.

Any advice will be appreciated

The Meats Have Arrived!

The JeepForum Project CJ7 is coming along really well! Ran into a few snags here there including finding out the front of the frame had been modified by the previous owner which we have to undo to correctly fit our Hanson front bumper and Smittybilt winch. Expect some great articles over the span of the next few weeks on products we have installed and modifications that have been done.

Today our meats came in! 35x12.5 Interco TrXus Mud Terrains. We have to finish our BDS lift install and then these bad boys can hit the axles. Can't wait to test them out. We've ran the TSL/Radials and TSL/SX in the past. Both tires gave outstanding performances both on the rocks and mud. We wanted to curb it down a little for this project because it's going to see more road action than the previous two.

Stay tuned!
