Listen to your daughter

Took my daughters playing in the mud. First time for me using my winch (3 times). Tons of mud it was great. We had a blast....till. My oldest daughter informed my that the drivers side front looked low. She's 14, what does she know? Obviously more that me. The next hole popped the bead. To my surprise, my factory wrench does not fit my aftermarket lug nuts (PO forgot to mention that). A long walk out and back and I now own a four way wrench. Had a great time. Now we just need more places to go. I'm going to try Wayne National Forrest next maybe.

I booked the TJ in with the Off Road specialists in the city. Get to go and get sway bar/links and u joints replaced in a couple of weeks. Almost ended up with the lift too but decided that would have to wait till the spring . But all I can see is the off roading to be done in a mere 2 weeks!

I have an 87 Wrangler and everytime I drive her, I have to pop the clutch. I have replaced many starters, the fly wheel, and another ring gear. A new starter will work for a few starts, but still sounds horrible, after that just noice. Could my bell housing be stripped? Electrical? Ring gear slipping on fly wheel? Cant figure it out, any help?

Does anyone know if it is possible to stuff 33's under a stock TJ? I have an opportunity to trade Wheels and tires, but dont have enough $$$ to do the lift before the swap. Also wondering if the rearend has to be re-geared with 33's? anyadvice would be helpful!

Today embarks my first days of my relationship with a Jeep. We've had some ongoing flirtation but I finally asked him out today. He said yes. We'll be living together on Monday. But seriously I just bought a 2005 TJ Wrangler Unlimited. Electric green they say. He's a looker I must say. But seriously I don't know his name. I keep throwing names out there since he doesn't talk to me yet but unresponsive. So I will keep everybody updated if I found the name thing out. Since I know SO MANY people are going to read this...NOT!

Funny, this is about the only thing I would want to blog about... Bought a 97TJ about 3 weeks ago. Its needs a little bit of maintenance to get it to be in good condition, and then a lot of time and money to get it as awesome as I want it to be (see body work, lift, paint job). Which will cost me more than it did to buy it. Today I went out and just checked the fluids and generally easy to access motor stuff. I'm not car retarded but sometimes I wish I knew more guys in town who were into the whole fix your truck thing.

Not much

Not much new. The vertically driven rain cover has been working out well. I've been managing to go all week with no top. With autumn approaching, I'm using it to keep the leaves out of the Jeep too. It's quite stiff when cold though, and it gets little creases in the canvas. I'm guessing it will crack and tear at some point. I'm starting to think about the hard top. I'd like to make it till the first snow without the hard top, but I'll probably put it back on when the temperature starts getting into the lower 30's. Maybe it will be December, we'll see.
