i'm just sittin here thinking of all the things i've done with my stock, 05
rubicon.
lets see, mudding, rock crawling (rausch creek), log pulling, towing (84
suburban with a snow plow up an 8% grade), hauling firewood and coal with my
m416 trailer, recovery (pulling out my buddies jeeps), getting stuck (my buddies
pulling me out), blazing trails, driving on the beach, camping. i must say i
love my jeep, and i'm not sure if i want to modify it, it does pretty well
stock. like i said, it's lovingly dubbed "the mule" mainly because of it's color
and ability to work hard haha.
i saw someone the other day with a shiny 07 or 08 dodge pick up truck, they saw
my 05 rubicon, all scratched and muddy and just gave me a look like "how could
you treat something relatively new like that" and i thought to myself, "this
jeep probably hauls more and has seen more trails than that truck ever will and
i've probably had way more fun then he ever will with his shiny pick up.
4x4's were built for a purpose, to gain traction in situations where 2wd just
doesn't cut it, to work, to play, not too be all shiny and clean all the time,
if you want that buy a 2wd haha.
i guess ever since having my first 4x4 (87 chevy half ton 4x4) i've always just
been a believer of "if ya got it use it for what it was intended to do!"
